MARCIA E. COLE

Playwright. Poet. Actor. Author. Educator

Thank you for stopping by to pay me a visit.

I seem to recall someone once said truth is more real than facts. Or perhaps someone should have said it. The artist’s job is to get under the facts and tell truths that might otherwise be missed. As a creative, this is what I do.

Is history linear, circular or spiraling?

Maybe it’s a dense compression called now.

I use facts to tell truths about African American history transporting you through time to experience history anew. Drama, poetry, and narratives are perfect vehicles to take you there. Let my words guide you toward Ancestors ahead waiting, waiting to be heard.

History not claimed and shared is lost.
